I was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, went to college in Burlington, Vermont, and lived and worked in Shanghai, China, for eight years before returning to Ann Arbor. I like tennis, birds, stinky cheese, books, and my friends and family.
In Shanghai, I covered Chinese healthcare policy as managing editor at a healthcare organization, and later led a communications team tasked with producing editorial and video content for Ford's Asia Pacific operation. I’ve also worked as a full-time travel writer and freelanced for clients ranging from global finance and energy companies to F&B and non-profits. I currently work at the University of Michigan Law School, where I manage alumni communications and serve as editor of Law Quadrangle, the Law School’s biannual magazine.
